It was a Sunny Warm Caribbean Day as guests boarded the Belize Aggressor IV for a week of Exploring Turneffe Caye, Half Moon Caye and Long Caye.

Sunday May 8th

Long before Sunrise the Belize Aggressor IV departed her homeport at the Radisson Marina Fort George in Downtown Belize City, Belize.  Our stop today was at Zipline located just off Turneffe Caye where we saw Groupers, Snappers, Banded Coral Shrimps, Stingrays, and a huge variety of Gorgonians,

Monday May 9th

Our Monday we explored Long Caye Ridge and Julies Jungle.  These are two wonderful sites that allow you to be able to stay and enjoy the shallow part of the reef or you can explore the several ridges that make up an amazing slopping wall.  Huge Barrel Sponges, Arrow Blennies, Barracuda, Tarpons, Snappers, Queen Angelfish, Caribbean Spiny Lobsters and Several Nurse Caribbean Reef Sharks and Spotted Eagle Rays.

Tuesday May 10th

Today we spend our underwater time at Cathedral and Long Caye Wall.  WOW what a day underwater.  Just some of what we enjoyed was Huge Barrel Sponges, Colorful Sea Whips, Banded Coral Shrimps, Yellowhead Jawfish with Eggs, 16 Feeding Tarpon, Spotted Lobsters, Southern and Roughtail Sting Rays, File Clams and Atlantic Thorny Oysters, Juvenile Caribbean Reef Shark and a few adult Sharks, Spotted Eagle Rays and a Bright Orange Longsnout Sea Horse.

Wednesday May 11th

On the picture perfect Caribbean Day we started it by diving the Famous Blue Hole where divers enjoyed swimming around Huge Stalagmite and Stalactite.  After the Blue Hole Experience we stopped at Half Moon Caye and was able to get a little beach time between dives.  Guests enjoyed getting a little sand between their toes and walking around this amazing little piece of paradise.   After island tome we explored one of the staff’s favorites dive site called Quebrada.  As we swam in the shallows and along the colorful wall we encountered Bushy Black Corals, Brightly Colored Sponges and Sea Whips, Arrow Blennies, Oysters and Clams, Schooling Creole Wrasses, Big Snappers, Tiger and Nassau Groupers, Spotted Eagle Ray, Caribbean Reef Sharks and a Very Large Loggerhead Turtle and Octopuses and it made for an Amazing Time Underwater!

Thursday May 12th

Our last full day of diving started at the dive site called Chain Wall, located just off Half Moon Caye.  As divers we stay very busy enjoying the different types of Corals, Fishes and Creatures that Chain Wall has to offer.  It’s nice have Nassau Groupers swim so close they want to hug you or seeing Oysters, Clams, Brittle Stars, Big Channeling Clinging Crabs and Southern Stingrays.  However the Best Was have Several Large Caribbean Reef Sharks swim very close to us and then having a Huge Loggerhead come and join the group.  Awesome Morning Making Bubbles!! During lunch we made our way to Black Beauty and enjoyed Colorful Sponges, Green Moray Eels, Sharpnose Puffers, Arrow Blennies, Creole Wrasses, Groupers, Snappers and a Variety of Gorgonians.  Toward the end of our dive at Black Beauty we started to feel a little current so we moved to Amberhead South.  Once we arrived at Amberhead South we enjoyed a Sunset Dive with a Varity of Marine Life.

Friday May 13th

To finish the week of diving the Underwater World Around Belize we continued exploring the underwater world on the dive site Amberhead South.  Just some of what we encountered was Queen Angelfish, Channel Clinging Crabs, band Coral Shrimps, Goldentail and Spotted Moray Eels, Nassau groups Four-Eye Butterflyfishes, and a Undersea Garden of Soft Corals.
