One more trip is about to start onboard Okeanos Aggressor I and we have a group of different nationalities. The sailing towards the island was very nice and easy and after 34 hours we anchor in Chatham Bay and right away we were ready for the check dive in a beautiful coral garden full of life, after this dive our guests were already asking about the hammerheads and we took them to Manuelita outside , one of the best sites to see sharks, we dove first and second cleaning stations and they were coming in groups of 10 to 15 at the time, marble rays were showing up as well and yellow fin tunas were crossing by.

Next day Dirty Rock was in our plan and also Punta Maria, Big Galapagos sharks are always patrolling these two dive sites in big numbers around the clean station and also out in the Blue water. Alcyone next day was on fire with big schools of hammerheads and big school of big eyed jacks just to finish a excellent dive.

Dos Amigos was showing the best Galapagos shark diving of the trip, just entering the water the place was full of them getting clean by the barber fish, some hammers were coming close as well and so far we had the best visibility of the trip.

The Arch in Big Dos Amigos was giving us an amazing dive with lots of fish, white tip sharks and Marble rays that seemed very interested in our divers coming super close for the photos and videos.

Lobster rock was one of the afternoon dives and it has the most beautiful rock formations in Coco’s island and it was also the best marble rays dive of the trip.

The land tour on Wafer bay was giving a chance to our guess to see how the Ranger live in Cocos with a beautiful wooden house and a nice station with paintings of hammerheads on the walls, we also did a nice hike after lunch time to Chatham Bay.

We had beautiful weather the whole trip, very sunny and very calm sea. The crossing back to port was super fast and very easy

Our guest were happy, bringing home good memories from an adventure of a life time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

Captain Mauricio.
