The week began with much excitement as guests arrived and prepared for the crossing to Little Cayman. It was a smooth journey across the sea and everyone awoke refreshed the next day- ready to start the diving adventure! While in Little Cayman we visited two favorites, Lea Lea’s Lookout and Nancy’s Cup of Tea. We also got the opportunity to see a rarely visited but phenomenal dive site- Black Hole.   All throughout Little Cayman groupers were eager to meet our divers and we also got some exciting visits by turtles and a nurse shark. After enjoying our dives here in Little it was time to pack up and head back to Grand Cayman for four more days of diving.

We arrived safely to Grand Cayman and quickly hopped into the water for a dive. We had some very nice conditions here in West Bay and got the chance to explore almost all of the dive sites available. Animal encounters were out of this world this week and no one will soon forget the massive Loggerhead Turtle that cruised by at and then through Bonnie’s Arch. Probably the most exciting dive was at the Oro Verde. The dive began with two feeding Eagle Rays in the sand just as soon as we hit the water. We watched them for several minutes and then moved over to the wreck to pose for some photos on the bicycles. Not long after, we found a den of 8 or more lobster. Everyone was happily taking photos of the lobster when all of a sudden a big green moray came cruising by and ate the biggest lobster of them all. Joe was lucky enough to catch most of the action on film and almost everyone got to see a bit of the gruesome scene.

As the week was coming to a close we were very surprised to have a pod of dolphins cruise by the boat and put on a show for Skip and Laurie while everyone was on their final dives. It was a beautiful week of diving but sadly like all good things it had to come to an end eventually. But before we said our goodbyes we gathered together one final time to celebrate our milestones and accomplishments at the farewell cocktail party with an award ceremony and champagne toast.

Until Next Week
