* All Aggressors are equipped with 80-cu. ft. aluminum tanks. A few 60-cu.
ft. tanks are availble upon request. Tanks have “K” valves for
use with standard yoke regulators. “DIN” and “J” valves
are not used.
Nitrox Certification Course: $150
This includes all necessary equipment (tanks, use of oxygen analyzer, use of
course materials, instructor, and check out dives). Student may continue to
dive Nitrox, using the Student Fill rate, the entire week once they have completed
the course. Certification will be from a national certification agency.
Nitrox Student Fills: $80
This includes all nitrox tank fills at 32% beyond the certification level and
only available to those who take the course on board.
Nitrox Unlimited: $100
This includes all Nitrox fills at 32% for certified Nitrox Diver, proof of
certification required.
Rebreathers
We regret to inform our customers as of July 27, 2006, Aggressor franchise
vessels will no longer accommodate new reservations for rebreather diving.
(those booked prior to this date will be honored). Aggressor first started
promoting rebreather diving in 1996. At that time it was relatively easy to
get supplies and service rebreather divers. As the fleet expanded to more remote
destinations over the next 10 years, it became harder to stay consistent. This
decision was based on the following:
- The vessels were inconsistent in being able to hire trained staff to perform
gas fills by partial pressure blending or 100% O2 and to assist rebreather
divers with equipment problems. This problem magnified with more types of
rebreathers on the market.
- Problems associated with maintaining the rebreather systems.
- Difficulty with transporting 100% O2 in large quantities. Some destinations
are required to have a special permit to carry 100% O2 even for medical emergencies.
- Difficulty in obtaining adequate liability insurance to cover rebreather
users or operators that train and/or allow rebreathers.
- Additional insurance premiums when available.
- Freight expense, customs and brokers fees.
- Stocking supplies to service rebreather divers.
- Inconsistent airline requirements that restrict the transport of rebreather
tanks on commercial airlines and baggage weight limitations.
- The Aggressor rebreather clientele is small and requests are few.
