Monday January 29th
We started our dives in the RAsdoo waters with plenty of shark action, jacks, barracudas, napoleons ; visit to the local island of RAsdoo and sail to Ari atoll for a night dive at a classic location, Maaya thila, with the sting and white tips following us during most of the dive. A great way to start the trip.
Tuesday January 30th
Equally interesting than by night is Maaya by day, so sharks, lots of fish and turles to name a few ; good breakfast and Mantas at Moofushi, the popular cleaning station mixed with yellow bluestriped snapper, sweetlips and some white tips.
Before heading to the beach for the weekly bbq we dove the aquarium of Ebodho thila to relax, chilling out later on the beach and enjoying a great bbq dinner.
Wednesday January 31st
After another manta cleaning station visit we dedicated the rest of the day to search for the whaleshark who did not show up till following day, anchoring at Digurah lagoon to spend the evening and enjoy the sunset and another chefs dinner.
Thursday February 1st
Enjoyed on of the south Ari famous pinnacles and headed to a last whaleshark try wich will be successful this time thanks to the great eye of Marilen who spots a nice 7mts male while diving, sight enjoyed by all the group as the animal turns around us curious and docile … extasis on board and pleasant sail to Vaavu atoll to dive the jetty at Alimatha with all the nurse sharks, jacks and stingrays … what a great day!
Friday February 2nd
Plenty of shark action at Miyaru kandhu, the favourite channel for many, followed by Medhu faru where we spot ghost moray eels and a honeycomb moray, and explore the little wrecj at Kudah giri with beautiful nudis, pipe fish and juvenile yellow box fish, ending on top of the pinnacle.
Sailing to Male atoll where, after dinner, we will board Maldives Aggressor II for the last 2 nights as its ready to welcome guests.
Saturday February 3rd
Three more dives to complete the Safari, drif diving at back Furana and thila, lots of sting rays and Fish Factory, and relaxing aquarium at Maa giri with 3 gentele turtles saying good bye to our happy divers this week.
Male tour visit for some of the group and relax on board for the others.
