Saturday December 23
After the gang arrived, set up their dive gear and sorted their cabins, we headed out for a special dinner on the town at Wild Thyme.
Sunday December 24
A leisurely start to day with a dip into Periwinkle. A sweet little reef followed by the dramatic Blue Hole. A Lager Head Turtle and Nurse Stark were exceptionally social. Crossing the Banks we got in our first night dive at the DC3 Plane Wreck.
Monday December 25
Our first Wall/reef dive on Crab Reef was followed up by a double dip on the fabulous Dog Rocks. The canyons and swim throughs were a dream with amazing visibility and flat calm seas. Completing the day with a visit to Madison Avenue which also provided and excellent night dive. The weather was perfect and a most excellent Chaistmas dinner on the top deck!
Tuesday December 26
Jewfish Wall was so fine we did it twice! The contour of the wall and it’s swim throughs made for fine exploration. We did a visit ashore with the unique Exuma Iguanas after Lunch. The Iguanas were thrilled to get a handout of fruit! We then moved over to Barracuda reef for the shallow Aquarium, scattered Coral heads ideal for Macro photography. Our Night dive was Flat top reef where we were visited by several Turtles.
Wednesday December 27
Our morning Wall dive was Crab Mountain. Again with marvellous swim throughs and canyons leading to the drop off. Then on to North House reef for a fish filled visit. Next up was the Austin Smith, our Shark dive! There is also a friendly Nassau Group[er to cuddle up to. Winding up the day with the night dive on Close Mon which provided several Octopus!
Thursday December 28
Lobster No Lobster provided endless snooping for reef fish and Stingrays amongst the multiple scattered Coral heads. After lunch we checked out Black Tip with its winding swim throughs, drop off and schools of snapper, grunts and Atlantic Spade Fish, We returned to Barracuda for the night dive.
Friday December 29
A double dip on Pillar Wall made for amazing visibility and exploration for the final dives of the week. Then it was back to Nassau for a Cocktail party and a fond wind up to the adventurers week.
